Grøndalen Søndre Farm has been involved with forestry since the earylu 17th century. The property is large and varied, containing pastures, hunting cabins and fishing huts.
People made their living from animal farming, forestry, hunting, fishing and growing potatoes and grain.
Economically, there have been good times and bad times for Grøndalen Søndre Farm. As a result of hard financial periods and inheritance settlements the estate is now divided up into ten separate plots of land dispersed around the municipality of Trysil.
We have modernised several of the buildings and have also built a brand new Swedish style manor house based on a model from 1750
